Keep your clients warm this Winter

Butler & Barry, Bray

Winter is well and truly coming and with that in mind we decided to tell you guys a little bit about our long term rentals. Here at Extreme Structures we know how important it is to keep your clientele happy year round which is why we offer pubs, restaurants and venues the option of long term rentals so that you can combat the winter months in style. Everyone loves a pint on a cold Friday evening however the idea of having to head out to the smoking area in what feels like minus temperatures is a little less attractive.

The Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip

Let us help you make the most of your beer garden this Winter by transforming it into an extension of your venue. We specialise in covering tricky areas with our range of stretch tents, or custom make them specifically for a space through our sister business Cover Solutions. The process is simple. We meet up on site to measure up and discuss what options would suit you best. We then send you on your quote along with a drawing if required. Then we get to work and begin transforming your cold, wet beer garden into a warm, cosy winter wonderland complete with patio heaters, lighting and some personal touches.

We’ve provided countless tents to pubs and venues across Ireland whether it be for one off events or long term events.  Let us help you turn your outdoor area into a warm, cosy and most importantly dry area for your customers this winter.

Jose Cuervo Tequila: Day of The Dead Skull

So, remember last month when we jetted off on our first over seas job to Berlin? Well, we had to keep everything hush hush but we can now reveal what we were working on.

Along with Boys & Girls LTD we helped fabricate this Sugar Skull for the Day of The Dead celebrations with Jose Cuervo Tequila. Using steel and chicken wire for the sub frame and a layer of expanding foam we created a raw shape that was ready to sculpt. We finished it off with a hard coat shell and then hand painted the design. We fabricated two of these skulls which were used for launches in Berlin, Greece and Dublin.

If you need anything designed or fabricated contact us today on 01 6012578 or by email at

Bank of Ireland at Career Zoo 2016

As we mentioned, we helped a number of companies set up stands for Career Zoo 2016. We set up three bays of our modular mezzanine structure for Bank of Ireland who’s stand played host to talks, seminars and workshops from their staff.

The top floor of our structure was used for talks and seminars while downstairs allowed for further networking between staff and potential employees. The event was a huge success and we can’t wait to see what Career Zoo has to offer next year.

EY Stand at Career Zoo 2016

As we mentioned in our last post we’ve been so busy with Festival Season that we haven’t gotten a chance to show you our new mezzanine structure which we launched at Electric Picnic 2016. Since then it’s made it’s way to a few different jobs including Career Zoo at The Convention Center in Dublin earlier this month where we helped some of Ireland’s leading companies set up their areas for one of the biggest events of it’s kind in Ireland. One of these companies was EY Ireland, a multinational professional services firm. Here we set up two bays of our modular mezzanine structure for them which included a staircase for access to the second floor, ramps, TVs and lighting.

The structure included a sit down area downstairs where workshops and seminars were held, while upstairs there was an area which allowed for further networking. The structure played host to workshops and talks and was a huge success.

Extreme Structures does Electric Picnic

It’s been a crazy few weeks for us here at Extreme Structures however with festival season coming to an end we finally have a chance to show you what we’ve been up to and we’re going to start off with Electric Picnic.

Electric Picnic is one of the biggest weekends of the summer for both festival goers and event companies. With over half of our stock in tow and a brand new mezzanine structure ready for launch we headed to Stradbally for a crazy couple of weeks. We worked with a handful of different companies over the two weeks including Verve The Live Agency, Festival Republic and Oxjam.

Perhaps our biggest job at the picnic this year was the launch of our new Mezzanine structure. It was used as Electric Ireland’s throwback party venue and was a huge success. It played host to acts such as Bananarama and Snap who performed ‘Rhythm is a Dancer’ on the closing night to a crowd of very excited festival goers. You can check out the video here! We’ll be posting up more about this structure in the coming weeks so be sure to keep an eye out!

We were also back at Pink Moon Camping this year helping them create their luxury camping area. There we set up a 25m x 18m beige stretch tent for their chill out area complete with pallet furniture sets and bean bags. This area is a favourite among Electric Picnic goers with certain spots for next year already sold out!

Rabo Direct’s Tour de Picnic was back with a bang this year and it was great to see so many people take part. Here we set up our beige 15m x 15m stretch tent as well as our 10.5m x 7.5m yellow stretch tent. Our crew also set up two of our platinum 9m x 6m stretch tents for Festival Republic which were used for the Soul Kidz area along with a 10.5m x 15m beige stretch tent for Exhibit Design’s Cute Hoor area.

We worked alongside Grooveyard and Intent Productions for the set up of their Logic area. This structure played host to many well-known Dj’s including John Gibbons and Bongo Steve.

The Oxjam stage  returned this year where we installed a 10.5m x 15m beige stretchy along with a 6m x 3m stage. Judging by the #LivefromtheOxjamStage videos  it was a huge success. We  set up a red 10.5m x 15m stretchy for the #JustEatRetreat. Here the Just Eat waiters took orders from campers and delivered their food to them, even if it meant tackling the crazy crowds at the main stage.

So that’s it for another year for Electric Picnic. It was a long and tiring two weeks but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We can’t wait to see what new products we’ll have for you guys by this time next year.

New Products for Summer 2016

This summer has been crazy for us here at Extreme Structures. With festival season in full swing we’re finding ourselves all over the country setting up different structures. That hasn’t stopped us from getting some new products in for you guys though. We have recently developed a new bespoke stretch truss stage which went out on its first job last week and proved to be very popular. We’ve also got some new stretch tents in including a beige 15m x 15m, a blue 10.5m x 15m, a yellow 10.5m x 7.5m and a black 10.5m x 7.5m. We’ve got a 25m x 36m beige stretch tent with a capacity of 1500 people on the horizon which we can’t wait to share with you.  The workshop has also been pretty hectic with the construction of our new custom made L-Shape and U-Shape couches which made their first appearance at Longitude this Summer. It’s crazy to look back on when we started our journey four years ago with 3 10.5m x 15m stretch tents. Now our inventory is getting bigger and bigger by the day and we couldn’t be happier about it. We can’t wait to see what it will be like for Summer 2017.

June Bank Holiday Weekend

The June Bank Holiday Weekend has always been a crazy time for us here at Extreme Structures and this year was no exception. With events happening all around the country and the sun shining Ireland was in its element. We were at some of the biggest events in Dublin over the weekend including Bloom 2016 and Forbidden Fruit.

We were working with GIY Ireland at Bloom helping them create their #FoodMatters tent which held talks with Cully & Sully, Innocent and Bord Bia. They gave informative seminars on organic farming, seasonal container growth and fruit growing in your garden. We supplied a 10.5m x 15m stretch tent along with 30 pallet benches and a stage. The event was a huge success and we’re delighted to have been a part of it.

We were also at Forbidden Fruit setting up The Bulmer’s Lounge. We provided a 25m x 18m beige stretch tent. The event saw acts such as Dizzee Rascal, Young Father and Kerri Chandler take to the stage while the Bulmer’s Lounge offered guests an area to chill out and grab a beer. The weather couldn’t have been better and the pictures from the weekend looked AMAZING!

We were happily involved with the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon which saw some 35,000 women take to the streets of Dublin to run/jog/walk 10 km for their chosen charity. Despite the light and sporadic showers everyone had a great time and we were there to provide the stretch tent for their ‘Relaxation Area’ where participants could sit down and relax after the race. We provided 4 10.5m x 15m stretch tents equalling a 21mx45m space which we made into an L shape. We also provided festoon lighting and Iretak flooring to add to the relaxing atmosphere. We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone who took part in the race and a well done to the event organisers and co-ordinators on such a successful day.

Now it’s time to truck on with the rest of our Summer events including more festivals, corporate events and weddings with our sister company The Outdoor Wedding Company. Be sure to check out our Facebook Page where we post all our jobs and regular updates!

We’ll leave you with some photos of the events over the last weekend for now. Enjoy!

The House of Peroni

Get ready to step into an immersive world of Italian Food and drink with The House of Peroni roof top terrace. It opened its doors in Dublin for the first time this May for two weeks to showcase the Amare L’Italia (The Love of Italy) offering guests Italian food, drink, fashion and cinema experiences. It will include Michelin-starred chefs Luciano Tona and Ross Lewis and for all you coffee lovers out there, Cloud Picker will be bringing the Italian café culture to Dublin with a fully stocked barista bar.

Extreme Structures were commissioned for the design and building of the house of Peroni’s cladding for their roof top bar by Neon Agency. We met with Neon a few months ago where we were filled in on the brief and the client’s needs and given their original concept. Working alongside Neon’s architect we designed a cladding system that would surround a marquee with integrated lighting to give the effect of a roof top bar. We also designed and constructed custom made PVC shade sails for the roof top terrace for sun shade and partial rain cover and a DJ Booth. We supplied the event with two custom canopies that went over the bar area and the stairwell entrance as well as a 10.5m x 7.5 m platinum white stretch tent. The event was a huge success with many of Dublin’s finest making an appearance on the opening night. It was a challenging yet very rewarding job that we are proud to say we were a part of.

It’s open for one last time this weekend before it closes its doors so be sure to head on down to 1 Dame Lane and check it out. We look forward to see where The House of Peroni might end up next year!
